Concrete Planing or Scarifying
Removing excessively thick hard materials from old floor systems, tile setting beds, to uneven concrete is often best completed using concrete planes or what is sometimes referred to scarifying or surface preparation machines. These machines can be equipped with a variety of different style cutters and can be set at different cutting heights to allow for a fair amount of control over the amount of material removed per pass.
The machines are either gas or electric powered and at Forever Floors we have extensive experience in using these machines in countless applications on concrete as well as wood! When used properly these machines can quickly and effectively remove excess materials and provide a surface ready for additional prep or a floor system installation.
